One Hundred Days to Sparkle

September 16, 2025

The calendar has a way of sneaking up on us. One moment it’s back-to-school lunches and sunscreen still in the bag, and the next—we’re officially 100 days away from Christmas. A hundred days may sound like forever, but in holiday time? It’s the perfect pause: enough space to dream, but close enough to feel the fringes of anticipation.

Christmas is one of our favorite times of year, full of traditions, matching pajamas, and slowing down to enjoy friends and family. This time of year is like stepping into a storybook full of cups of cocoa, snowglobes, and letting our creativity take our gingerbread houses to new levels. We are already planning what theme they will take on this year. Christmas by the Sea? Santa Sportsball? Dragons versus Reindeer? The possibilities are endless!

With 100 days to go, the countdown doesn’t need urgency—it needs delight. Magic doesn’t appear all at once; it grows slowly, hidden in the details. Eating icing out of the container, putting Christmas trees in every room, and finding magic in every step. That’s where the joy really lives: not just in the holiday itself, but in the anticipation that carries us there.

So what will you do with your hundred days? Maybe it’s starting a family list of “little things we want to try.” Maybe it’s setting aside a single evening to sip cocoa and plan out the important events for this season. Don’t forget tickets to the Nutcracker or opening the season with a viewing of Home Alone. Whatever you choice, it is with hand-clapping glee that I look forward to the magic of the season.

I think this means I can put up my Christmas tree right?

Celebrate the joy of the journey, not just the big day. Follow along with Merry Sparkles as we share ways to fill these 100 days with wonder, connection, and the kind of joy that turns into family tradition.
